Passion Quotient/Curiosity Quotient

What brings you joy?  What are you passionate about?  What sparks your curiosity?

As we live our day to day lives we are constantly taking in new information, experiences, relationships, and using new tools.  All of these things influence our passion for what we love and our curiosity for what interests us.

Educators wear many different “hats” and have many responsibilities placed on them.  The qualities that I have as an educator continue to evolve.  With each new learning experience or acquired tool, I am becoming a more passionate and curious person.

This is important for our students to understand in order for them to be successful in today’s ever-changing world.  They need to be passionate, curious, and open minded.  They need to keep improving themselves and never stop questioning.  There are a vast number of opportunities for everyone to learn and “relearn for a lifetime” (Friedman, 2013).  Let’s take them!
