I am a high school special education teacher at South Lyon East High School in South Lyon, MI. I completed my undergraduate degree at Hope College and earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education- Special Education Learning Disabilities (K-12). Currently I am pursuing a Masters degree in Educational Technology at Michigan State University.
As a young student I was educated in the Novi Community School District located in Novi, MI. I was blessed with an exceptional education in a district that focused on the highest excellence in academics. I graduated from Novi High School in 2010 with a 4.0 grade point average.
I was a student athlete involved with varsity athletics as I played four years of basketball, one year of soccer, and one year of track and field at Hope College. Our Hope College Varsity Women’s Basketball team was nationally ranked, won the MIAA Championship in 2013 and 2014, and competed in the Division III NCAA Tournament. I also played intramural flag football, volleyball, inner tube water polo, and soccer while attending Hope.
I enjoy coaching freshmen volleyball, varsity girls basketball, and varsity track and field at South Lyon East High School as well as spending time with my family and friends in my free time. I also love baking, running, and volunteering with projects through my church and the Michigan Miracle Baseball League.
